OH YEAH, THAT’S RIGHT, I’M DOIN’ MEby Candice Sesi

So applicable to my life right now. Work and the stress from work (oh the stress!) are the only things going on in my life right now-it’s definitely time to make a change. I want to be able to see my friends and not send them text messages saying I actually can’t meet up since I’m exhausted from staying an hour later at work. I want to be able to make it to family dinners to celebrate milestones. I want to be able to see my nieces and witness their development and ever-changing personalilites. Of course I want to have an income coming in but is this stress/anxiety worth it? What I thought was my dream job has actually been anything but. I do enjoy certain aspects of my job (employee discount, relationships established with co-workers) but the fact that no matter how hard I’m working, if I don’t hit a certain amount I’m not doing a good job is EXTREMELY frustrating. I know I’m a good salesperson and I know I style well but being thrust into this position with no guidance along the way with such high expectations placed upon me immediately…I don’t want to do it.

Life is more than work and getting the corner office, more than 4.0 GPAs and more than pleasing everyone on planet Earth. Sometimes in life, we are presented with situations where sacrifices must be made, but those are exceptions, not the rule. You have to “do you” and be happy doing you……When life gets a little crazy, we forget what’s important and what truly matters, but at the end of the day, remember to just do you and everything else will fall perfectly into place.

Another Day in the Life

It’s so late and I definitely have to work tomorrow but sleep is nowhere near for me. I just saw something I wrote quoted on someone’s blogspot & I’m so happy and touched I could cry right now. I started to go through my articles, blog posts, journals, etc., and I cannot believe how life changes so quickly and so dramatically in only a matter of weeks or months. Or even days! Looking back at my life just 2 months ago seems so far away. I almost don’t recognize that girl. Looking back is healthy & encouraging. It shows you how far you’ve come & proves that you can get through just about anything. When I wonder why something didn’t turn out as I hoped, I just look back and am so thankful that it didn’t because then maybe I wouldn’t be who I am right now. I’ve learned so much from my failures & let downs.. I’m not even mad about them. Life is funny how it teaches us lessons by majorly fu**ing with us … But its also amazing. And I love it.

A Hamburger Is Not A Snack In Any Country

Remember when that one bitch on Supersize vs. Super Skinny called a hamburger a snack? Well I do, and I want to smack her in the mouth. I’m kinda hungry but not really and I was thinking, a snack would do the trick right now. So while I went to the fridge for some baby carrots, I thought of that disgusting animal who called a hamburger a snack, and I’m kinda pissed now. How dare she?! HOW DARE ANYONE EAT A HAMBURGER AND CALL IT A SNACK?! A snack is a fucking handful of almonds or pretzels. Goodbye.
